21M iPhones Sold

Yesterday, Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) reported selling 3.8 million iPhones during the past three months, generating $1.5 billion in revenues. That brings total iPhones sold to over 21 million units and combined iPhone and iPod touch sales of about 37 million units.
Apple's COO Tim Cook had some bold comments in the analyst call, calling the 37 million units an "enormous platform for developers," adding that with the recent changes introduced with Apple's iPhone 3.0 SDK, which went beta in March and is expected to be released to customers this summer, Apple and its development partners will soon "unleash a whole new level of innovation that keeps Apple years ahead of everyone else."
